Kewo Engineering provided engineering assessments to update the arc flash, short circuit, and coordination studies at ten facilities to enhance safety and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The studies identified the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) for personnel, recommended adjustments to reduce arc flash risks, and ensured the installation or updating of appropriate warning signage on APU equipment. 

The scope of services included: 

  • Desktop Review: Reviewed existing electrical drawings, facility documentation, and previous arc flash studies. 
  • Research Meeting and Field Preparation 
  • Site Visit: Conducted on-site inspections to verify equipment conditions and collect data. Captured 2,758 photos and 112 360 photos. 
  • Arc Flash Modeling: Performed arc flash analysis using ETAP software with IEEE 1584-2018 calculation method. 
  • Report Development: Prepared comprehensive arc flash, short circuit, and protective device coordination study reports. 
  • Labeling: Affixed arc flash hazard labels to electrical equipment. Captured 143 photos.
