Kewo Engineering provided the design of a new generator with a transfer switch for the LA Union Station to anticipate 3 new signal enclosures.

Kewo Engineering was responsible for providing the following engineering services:

• Perform preliminary load calculation to ensure that the generator capacity is enough for supplying the load.
• Design and install an automatic transfer switch to ensure that the load will still get power even when the main service from LADWP, which is a 200V 400A panel, is failing.
• Perform the generator sizing calculation to ensure that the size of the generator is sufficient to accommodate the peak measured load.
• Develop the quality control inspection checklist document based on the owner’s project requirement and standards.
