Kewo Engineering provided electrical planning and engineering support for the Federally Funded Marine Engineering Services at the Port of Oakland, in collaboration with Burns McDonnell.
Services included:
- Reviewing existing site information and conducting investigations
- Assistance with regulatory permitting
- Analysis of existing conditions and creation of future needs assessment.
- Rehabilitating and developing low and medium voltage substations
- Development of charging infrastructure to support zero emissions cargo handling equipment
- Development of substations and related resiliency improvements including battery energy storage systems (BESS)
- Preparation of Plans and Specifications
- Support Services during Construction
