Kewo Engineering provided electrical planning and engineering support for the Federally Funded Marine Engineering Services at the Port of Oakland, in collaboration with Burns McDonnell.

Services included:

  • Reviewing existing site information and conducting investigations
  • Assistance with regulatory permitting
  • Analysis of existing conditions and creation of future needs assessment.
  • Rehabilitating and developing low and medium voltage substations
  • Development of charging infrastructure to support zero emissions cargo handling equipment
  • Development of substations and related resiliency improvements including battery energy storage systems (BESS)
  • Preparation of Plans and Specifications
  • Support Services during Construction
